Improve your Home's Energy Efficiency...

Homeowners are constantly bombarded with information in magazines, newspaper, and other media avenues about "green living" and sustainability.

It can be difficult for individual homeowners to apply the recommendations to their unique homes and properties. Lineage Architects wants to help our community become more sustainable, energy efficient, and environmentally conscious.  We're interested in assisting our neighbors save money on their energy bills and feel confident about their personal effects on the environment. For this reason, we're offering a new service, called an "Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Assessment."

An energy efficiency and sustainability assessment makes sense for homeowners who are:

  • Interested in lowering their energy bills without making large investments
  • Looking for options to make their homes healthier and “greener”
  • Considering renovations or additions to their existing properties
  • Hoping to improve  resale value

The visit is conducted by Jonathan F. Garber, PE and Pennie Z. Garber, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, CSI

Sample recommendations may include items like:

  • New locations for rain gardens and other water management devices.
  • New locations for cisterns, rain barrels or other water collection devices.
  • Shading strategies for house and site.
  • Interior finishes suggestions to reduce energy consumption and improve comfort.

The primary deliverable under this program will be a letter, stamped and sealed by the visiting professional, outlining options to improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of your home. The visit and stamped, sealed letter will be provided for a flat fee of six hundred dollars.
